Anna Johnson Pate: so as you know life with two babies keeps you pretty busy....so I visit your blog only about once every few weeks or so. then i sit down, with a sleeping baby in my arms and one running around like a wild runny nose monster to fill my mind with inspiration and ideas from your wonderful work. when i came across this post i was so thrilled for your family yet somewhat sad. it was my goal to one day save enough to take a family vacation back to nc to have you photograph our family....i am not discouraged though. my best friend beth (aka business parter corresponder) is preg now!! so as soon she read this she called me and said...well i guess we are going to have to save up enough to take a family vacation to colorado to get our babies pictures made. so heads up...that is our plan...after we get our new business up and running (thanks to your amazing pictures!!) we will be coming to visit...so get established and count on the pates and tindles coming out your way!  3.14.10, 12:53pm

brianna: Hi you do not know me, but congrats on the move. About two years ago I came across your blog when you photographed Amber and Taylor Ratliff (she was my young life leader in high school)and I just knew that you would be the one to photograph my wedding someday. I have told everyone about your amazing work. Now that there is an engagement in my future, I am crushed to know that you are moving. I am in east Tennessee, and knew I would have a slight possibility of having you as my photographer, but now you are moving much further away, lol. I do give my best wishes to you and your family, and hope you have a safe move. I will still give my full support to smitten no matter where you are, bc you truely do amazing work.  3.11.10, 10:47pm

Rae Barnes: I know we've never officially met, but I know all too well how you must feel, especially as we just relocated from Young Life's Saranac Village to the city of Philadelphia. I know you and your family will do great and amazing things! Buena Vista is where my husband and I fell in love, too. :-) Many blessings!  3.7.10, 7:39pm

margaret curtis: sharon: i am so thankful that we met you and had the privilege of having you photograph neely and jack's wedding...let us know if you need replacement aviators! we will be praying for all of God's very best for you and your family.  3.4.10, 10:18pm

Mama Clark: Oh Sharon, i have so many mixed emotions about this move. I am so thankful to God that He is providing Ryan the means to live his dream since he was a little boy, yearning for adventure and a life in this beautiful, God-given natural country that is so untouched by technology. I can't help but praise and thank God for giving you these bounteous opportunities; however, my eyes well up with many tears when I realize how far away my precious grandchildren will be. I'm sure God must have big plans for me to see this beautiful country as well....maybe not as often I've grown so comfortable to being with Elle and Bosten, but hopefully often enough to fill the void I fear will be in my heart. I love and admire you and Ryan so much for your faith and courage. I am so proud of you, Sharon. You have made Ryan's dreams your own dreams...what greater gift could any wife give to her husband and children. He is truly a blessed husband, father, and son. I love you with all my heart, my daughter! Mama Clark & Elle and Bosten's "Meme"  3.3.10, 4:23pm

Dad: Well my little feather...truly the wind is whisping you to another of life's adventrues. It never has been about how tightly you can grasp what you see. It is always the unseen...I hope this is a tail wind that can occasionally lift you and carry you and your family just a little further west into my arms....  2.25.10, 6:50pm

Lots of memories there for my family too! Wonderful people of course, small town life will be precious for you and your family. I've wondered what we would do if we had to move (losing so much business) but my more immediate question is how I am going to go on assignment this summer with my family! We don't take one every year and its been 2 years now, last assignment I wasn't nearly as busy as I am now with clients, orders, albums, etc... yikes- any advice?  2.21.10, 5:11pm

: Hello. I recently found your photography blog, although I do not remember excatly how, most likely through some mutual YL connection. We do not know each other personally, but yours is one of my favorite photo blogs to follow. I am a young photographer, and I find all of your posts so full of emotion and just stunning to look at. Not only are you a talented photographer, but also you're a very talented writer. God has given you such an artistic gift, and I love to see you express it through all of these posts. I, too, met my husband at Young Life camp. We've been married for almost a year now (!!). He encourages me so much in my photography, and it sounds like your husband does the same for you. So, anyway, I just wanted to encourage you, and thank you for being real and putting so your energy and your heart into all of your posts. Thanks for sharing them with all of us! I look forward to seeing your new photos from CO. PS. If you don't yet know many people out in Buena Vista, my good friend, Kelly, is a year long intern at Frontier right now...she's super sweet.  2.21.10, 11:58am

your tita pam~: To my family in NC: Sometimes in this life we are given the priviledge of beholding the Lord working out is perfect plan through us...we are after all His vessels. When we enter those times in our lives where things are not so certain, but our eyes are open and our hearts are willing, it is then that the Potter can really work with His clay...He works best this way. Can it be scary? yes. Uncertain? most probably...but only to us. This is where we get to trust Him with every breath , and as I am sure you and Ry will, with every step in this journey far from what you have known as home. Proverbs 3:5 says "Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He WILL direct your paths". That is a promise. He keeps every promise, and I know it is one that will be kept as you venture out into His continuing plan for you all. When Peter stepped out onto that water, and actually stayed up, his eyes were fixed on his only Hope. He only began to sink when he looked away. Keep your eyes on Him and even if you sink a little, know that He will be right there to pull you up. I love you Sharon, Ry, Bean and Boy. ....congratulations on your adventure and may Jesus be with you all in every step of this journey...  2.20.10, 4:23pm

Bobbie Brown: I have heard Colorado is GORGEOUS! Best of luck to you and your family as you make this big move...  2.20.10, 4:20pm
