here's a glimpse into the 1895 victorian house that we live in. this space is cozy and comfortable and it feels like home. when i walked into the empty house i could picture us living here... everything from the distressed doors to the vintage wallpaper it felt like it was worn and waiting for our little family. welcome to the casa de la colorado... |

we had too many barrels of fun during this editorial shoot for a display at trail west young life camp! pure snowy delight + two adorable cowgirls and one rugged cowboy were right up my alley for this rocky mountain session! if you ever thought about taking your family out west for the trip of a lifetime - trail west is the place you want to be! you will be swept away into adventure like you've never known it...and undoubtedly, your family will grow closer in ways you can't even imagine! joy lives here... |

i can't believe how much this little beauty has grown in the past few months! stella rae and her pinwheel eyes just take my breath away. i love her gummy grin & how excited she was to play with her mommy & daddy! life is definitely a little sweeter with this girl in the world... |

| take a deep breath and sigh over the love between amy & justin. i traveled to savannah, georgia from colorado to capture this perfect day & stepped off the plane & inhaled the beauty of the deep south. back in january, i photographed these two for their engagement session & showed you how much amy hearts justin. for their wedding, we planned for a ton of photo time - something that couples are always so glad they did! justin was completely smitten with amy all day and couldn't take his eyes off of her. every time their eyes met you could feel the pure joy between them! once again, i left savannah grateful for the chance to have a front row seat to watch an amazing couple be united in love. amy & justin i wish you all the best that life has to offer! |

hellllllo spring!
blooming flowers, birds chirping & warm sunshine melting away the winter blues. i am welcoming you with open arms and realize that before i know it summer is going to be here! for now, i will enjoy these perfect days with just right temperatures & nights that are still cool enough to wear a cute anthropologie sweater :) i am in north carolina this week - headed to tennessee tomorrow to photograph the highly anticipated smitten love story wedding of brittany & nathan and cannot wait to be part of their incredible day!
i spent a couple nights in denver, co with my munchkins before our crack-o-dawn flight to nc & really enjoyed being in the city after getting used to small town life in buena vista. i can't believe this adventure that we are on & i am just holding my breath to see what god has in store for us! the wee ones and i stayed in the denver hyatt and we enjoyed our views from the 31st floor as well as jumping on the bed...

it definitely is a shock to go back to the city after living in the peace of a one stoplight town. we now live two blocks from everything that we need and even rode our bikes to the grocery store last week! we live just a couple minutes away from the banks of the arkansas river & are living in an old victorian house with no ice maker, no dishwasher & no microwave :) i really love our home... the charm & character of living in a house built in 1890 can't be beat! i'll hopefully be sharing pictures next week once we get back home and have internet set up!
