i've been drooling over these images all week from tiffany and jasons wedding. this couple oozed love for each other & their passion and playfulness was so evident to everyone around them. the vanlandingham estate was the perfect location for their wedding & it offered a great mix of southern comfort and elegance. every detail was intimate and personal & i just loved spending the day with this couple! i love photographing weddings with a lifestyle feel and my hope is that the images come alive & anyone who sees them can easily imagine that they were a part of the day. tiffany & jason, i hope you are having a fabulous time on your mediterranean cruise & wish you lots of love and happiness! |

i met tiffany and jason just four weeks before photographing their wedding, this past weekend, and i fully trust that it was by divine intervention. their dream wedding at the vanlandingham estate was perfect in every way & i couldn't have been more excited to be part of it! they both said that the photos they loved most were the ones where the sun wraps around the couple & lights them in the most perfect way. i know tiffany and jason are meant to be. and god gave them sun-wrapped kisses on their wedding day just to prove it...

i can't think of a better way to celebrate your love than having your closest friends and family come to the beach for a long weekend of laughter and playing together! kelli & adam's wedding was a blast and i am so grateful i got to be a part of it! the wedding and reception were at the surf club, in cherry grove, south carolina. the weather was perfect - ocean breezes blew all day long & there was a good amount of cloud cover to keep the summer heat from being unbearable. kelli & adam made their photos a priority, so we had plenty of time to snap pictures on the beach and at sunset. their friends kept the party going until the dj shut it down & the newlyweds were off to the dominican republic for their honeymoon!
kelli & adam, thanks for allowing me to be part of your wedding weekend! i'm honored that i got to capture all of these memories for you & hope that you stay lost in wedded bliss for years to come! |

sometimes, i think about life as a facebook status. sad, yes. but true, also yes.
summer is a crazy time in our house. we have young life camp trips, soccer coaching trips, weddings, vacations, lots-o-lifestyle sessions & family chill days that like to fill the spaces in our calendars. in my quest to blog for 100 days, i should have been smarter to pick a time that wasn't quite the whirlwind :) i love to read facebook status updates of my friends, peers & people that i don't even know that well. it's interesting to hear that people are caught in rainstorms, working in messy offices, excited about dipping their toes in the sand, eating cotton candy & happy to be in love. so, what can i say? it is quite possible that i have had less time to blog because i've had more fun playing with my kiddos, redecorating my office & trying to teach my 9 month old how to sleep through the night. but, do not fear! the blog posts are coming in full force...
starting with this one & announcing the next SPA day! i've gotten so many emails about when the next date would be for the smitten photo academy. i don't personally respond to every one of those inquiries because i plan the SPA days around when i'm shooting weddings & also my hubbys young life schedule. but, you can get excited if you have been waiting for a date to be released cause it is right around the corner... saturday, august 15th!
here are the details:
the smitten photo academy {spa} is a four hour workshop for anyone who loves photography, wants to take better pictures of the people and things they love & learn how to do so using their DSLR camera!
the {spa} days are for 15 people to allow for plenty of one on one time during our discussions. we cover everything from how to find the best lighting, how to make your kids smile without saying "cheese", to learning how to use the functions of the camera that you may have never realized exist.
spots are filled on a first come, first served basis. check your calendar for:
AUGUST 15. 2009 from 8 am-noon in davidson, north carolina.
. the workshop is $200 per person. your spot will be reserved by emailing me & paying for the class. *due to the demand & limited number of spots offered, the fee is non refundable in the event that you cannot come the day of.
. the workshop is not training on how to become a professional photographer - the class is meant for those who enjoy photography as a hobby or serious passion and want to better their skills & knowledge in the field.
. we will have a real photo shoot with models to help put your new skills into practice :)
